Background
- OutNav is a web application that allows organisations to track the progress of their projects via a colour-coded framework.
- To add content or rate their progress users were required to jump back and forward between the framework view and the content editing view.

- Users regularly reported being disorientated with their place in their project
- It was decided that giving users the ability to navigate their project within a single space would greatly improve the experience.
Design Challenge
- Maintain enough of the existing interface to ensure long-standing users feel comfortable and not disoriented by the changes.
- Keep the user within a single space while avoiding an overly cluttered or overwhelming view.
- Create a navigation system that keeps users firmly orientated and feels immediately intuitive to users.
Technical Challenge
- All user data must be loaded and saved asynchronously via API endpoints.
- All user data must be reconfigured into well structured Json formats.
- Optimise user data rendering for rapid display and retrieval, supporting high-speed project navigation.
