• OutNav is a web application that allows organisations to track the progress of multiple projects via a custom-defined framework.
• Project administrators struggled to understand how multiple linked projects were progressing as a whole.
• Existing customers were becoming frustrated with lack of at-scale insights.
• The software required a strong differentiator to retain its unique offering.

Design Challenge

• Ensure the process of aggregating insights was intuitive.
• Ensure the aggregated output was easy to interrogate and understand.
• Provide a simple way for users to create snapshots for reporting and comparison over time.

Technical Challenge

• Develop a formula to accurately aggregate data without existing numerical values.
• Combine previously separate project data into one consolidated source.
• Create a flexible framework that could handle varying project structures.
